I checked my lists and do believe I have my shopping done. So wrapped the gifts all up today. Still have some baking on my list, otherwise my house is ready for the season. The little dusting of snow we got today does get me in the holiday spirit.

Lets just move on to summer...

Since we're had just to many April Showers and still seems like winter temperature, lets just move on the summer! Really would like to fill my outside pots with beautiful flowers but afraid its too chilly for them.

So I hoping for more summer like tempertures so we can put our toes in the water!



Took a road trip!

Yesterday I had the day off, so I went to some of my favorite Ocassional Sales in Carver Mn. I came home with these great industral pieces that are now wall art in my home. I was so excited to get them hung up...got out my handy powered hammer that my dh gave to me! Also picked up the small suitcase I "needed",as you can see my other one is over flowing, as I save all my special cards and notes given to me!

Finished Primitive Kitchen Cabinets

Yeah! My kitchen is finished. Maybe I'll cook now or just keep it all nice and clean!

I used Caromalcolours.com for the distressed paint. I mushed the Putty color over chocolate, with chipping creme in between. Then I sanded, applied toner and finished with Liberon natural wax. It sounds complicated but is is very easy! If you know me I don't like to paint. So believe me its an easy way to distress anything!

The countertop was painted with Rustoleum Countertop coating: Clay deep base.

The walls are Valspar Medallion Arbitrary and the soffet is color matched Clay to the countertop.

Dust storm

Just finished cleaning up a dust storm in my kitchen. Its a good thing...a work in progress!  More later, when I finish my "remodel" of my kitchen cabinets. I will post before and after pictures.
